Great Sights operates half and full day tours highlighting Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, Fleurieu Peninsula and the River Murray.

Touring Options

Kangaroo Island Day Tour – 86S

Travel to Cape Jervis, then cruise the Backstairs Passage to Kangaroo Island – an island rich in wildlife with unspoiled pockets of rugged wilderness. We’ll tour the island and become acquainted with Australian wildlife in natural habitats.

. One of the world’s most remarkable opportunities. At Seal Bay, we’ll walk in the wild with seals as they laze on the beach and ride the surf into shore. Seal Bay is home to over 500 Australian sea lions. Certainly an experience you won’t forget!

. Travel to Flinders Chase National Park; look for koalas in their natural habitat, perhaps spot an echidna, a goanna and kangaroos. Visit the stunning rock formation of Remarkable Rocks and take in awesome Admirals Arch – a haven for New Zealand fur seals and soaring seabirds in a natural ocean environment.

Barossa and Hahndorf Day Tour – 74S

Tempt your senses in the magnificent Barossa Valley. We’ll capture the atmosphere of the Barossa, touring past quaint villages set amidst rolling hills and pastures dotted with superb wineries. Wine tastings await at Wolf Blass Winery. Visit Kaesler Winery Restaurant and enjoy a ploughman’s lunch.

. Head over the beautiful Adelaide Hills – a region with market gardens and a colourful history. You’ll pass by stunning scenery with rows of vines, natural bushland, historic villages and the old mill town of Woodside.

. Your senses will be consumed by the atmosphere of Hahndorf – a quaint Bavarian village nestled in the Adelaide Hills. Perhaps indulge in a local tradition; scones, jam and cream with tea or coffee (own expense) and stroll under the Elm trees and browse in the craft shops.

River Murray Day Tour – 83S

Tour the Adelaide Hills passing Verdun and the town of Bridgewater with its mill and waterwheel.

. The environment changes from green rolling hills to arid Mallee outback country of the Murraylands. Mannum was the birthplace of the River Murray Paddle steamers and the gateway to the harsh inland of Australia. Enjoy a country lunch at Mannum and a walk around the town. Perhaps a look at the fully restored 100 year old PS Marion.

. Cruise the vast waters of the River Murray on a riverboat. Rugged cliffs, river red gums and willows border the river and bird life abounds. Scones, jam and cream with tea or coffee will be served on board as you hear stories of the river.

Victor Harbor Day Tour – 80S

Explore the Fleurieu Peninsula – coastal holiday towns, wineries, historic ports and captivating scenery around every corner. We will learn why Victor Harbor is Adelaide’s holiday playground.

. Old stone wineries, olive and almond groves and superb wines. We will stop in McLaren Vale where you will have opportunity for food and wine tastings of McLaren Vale’s best.

. In Victor Harbor, the hub of the Fleurieu Peninsula. We will have time to explore the town, take in Encounter Bay and even ride a horse drawn tram across the causeway to Granite Island (own expense).

. The river port of Goolwa at the mouth of the Murray, delightful Strathalbyn on the Angas River and the Mount Lofty Ranges round out this special day.
