Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Nullarbor Plain and Adelaide Seven Day Tour – AE01

This seven day tour travels from Perth to Adelaide or Adelaide to Perth via the goldfields of Western Australia and the spectacular coasts of Western Australia and South Australia taking in the Nullarbor and Great Australian Bight.

. Day One – Today we depart Perth at approximately 0730, headed east via the wheat belt towns of Northam, Kellerberrin, Merredin, Southern Cross and the old mining town of Coolgardie, arriving in Kalgoorlie in the afternoon. Time to walk down the famous Hannan Street and do some shopping or just soak up the atmosphere of this town that has produced more gold than any other place on earth. Our overnight stay is the Mercure Motel.

. Day Two – The morning is spent visiting the new Miner’s Hall of Fame and the North Kalgoorlie Tourist Mine. We will also drive out to the Super Pit, one of the largest holes on earth made by man. After lunch we travel south to our overnight stop at Esperance and book into the Bay of Isles Motel for the night.

. Day Three – This morning we board the beautiful Seabreeze for our morning cruise of the Bay of Isles off Esperance, with morning tea on Woody Island. You may see dolphins, sea lions and in season, whales. After lunch we board our coach once more and drive north to the old gold mining town of Norseman, where we stop for afternoon tea. We then travel east on the famous Eyre Highway to our overnight stop at the Balladonia Motel.

. Day Four – Today we continue on one of the world’s great road adventures as we traverse the bottom of Australia across the Nullarbor Plain and along the Great Australian Bight. The day is spent driving through scrub with outbreaks of flat open plain country. A very unique setting. Our overnight stop will be at the Border Village, near Eucla on the Western Australian and South Australian border.

. Day Five – On leaving Border Village we continue east across the Nullarbor. We will drive to the southern edge of Australia to view the cliffs of the Great Australian Bight and, if you are lucky, you may even see some whales. Now for the long haul through the Nullarbor to Ceduna. Overnight in this quaint fishing town.

. Day Six – Today we travel along the beautiful coastal drive, with spectacular views of the ocean and countryside, from Ceduna to Port Lincoln. After lunch we will visit some of the beautiful parks in the area and take in the vista of the beautiful coastline, returning to Port Lincoln for our overnight stay.

. Day Seven – An early departure this morning as we head north towards Whyalla, Port Augusta and Adelaide. We travel along the western edge of the Flinders Ranges to Port Pirie past Mount Remarkable National Park, then into Adelaide, the City Of Churches. We arrive in the mid afternoon, giving you time for a walk in the city before booking into the Adelaide Riviera Motel for the night. This concludes one of Australia’s great tours from Perth to Adelaide, leaving behind seven days of wonder and wilderness.
