A rare opportunity for you to see and learn about platypus in the wild. Take our dawn or dusk canoe tour on a beautiful mountain lake in Victoria’s Otway rangers. Discover Australia’s unique, million year old, egg laying mammal. Your guide Bruce has 4 years experience as an ecotourism guide and a background in ecology and animal behaviour with a B.Sc (Melb Uni). We always see platypus and have between 5 and 30 sightings on each tour. Tours depart from the township of Forrest all year round. We guide you by canoe, no experience necessary. Minimum 2 – Maximum 6 people. No children under 5 please. Bring warm clothes and walking shoes.
