Aussie Outback Safaris

Aussie Outback Safaris remain one of the few extended tours to Monkey Mia, still to offer the authentic Aussie experience. As well as the must do tourist sights: the Pinnacles, Kalbarri and its gorges, Shark Bay and its Monkey Mia Dolphins – we also aim to delight and surprise as we utilise the four wheel drive and get off the beaten track in many places along the way.

Monkey Mia tour day one: Explore the mysterious Pinnacles. Lunch and swiim at the picturesque Hangover Bay. Drive along the scenic Indian Ocean Way. Set up a bush camp behind the dunes of Lucky Bay. Enjoy good food, drink and banter by the camp fire. Relax in your swag as you fall asleep under the billions of stars in the Outback sky.*For those who don’t fancy the bush camp we do run trips with serviced accommodation.

Monkey Mia tour day two: Take in the spectacular sights of the coastal gorges. Lunch at the picturesque Chinaman’s Beach. where you can snorkel and “Find Nemo”. He will be there somewhere! At the Z-bend gorge we will trek down to the river where you will be rewarded with a refreshing swim. Option for the adventurous to abseil into the gorge. Arrive at Monkey Mia to enjoy the sunset. After dark enjoy a hot tub and a few drinks, then swag by the dolphin beach or upgrade to luxury.

Monkey Mia tour day three: Get introducted to the Monkey Mia dolphins. “Aussie Outback Safaris” include the magnificent wildlife cruise on the Aristocat II in the price. Enjoy an exhilerating spa in the ‘Boom Net” dragged behind the boat. Time to relax at Monkey Mia, where we depart after lunch. Take in the unique beauty of Shark Bay at spectacular locations such as Eagle Bluff, Shell Beach and the stromatolites. 0ur destination today is Eurardy Station, where, after dinner we jump on the back of the farm ute to go ‘spotlighting’ kangaroos around the station tracks. On our return we cook “damper” on the campfire, get out the fresh cream, jam and port, and didgeridoo, for another night of campfire fun. Tonight you sleep in the swags on the lawn for another night under the outback sky. Rooms and tents are an option.

Monkey Mia tour day four: Greenough Wildlife Park. Feed and pose with wildlife such as kangaroos and emus. Get “up close and personal” with the carpet pythons as owner Rick, educates and exposes the myths about these magnificent creatures. Lunch at the marina of Port Denison, before embarking on the last long leg of the journey, to the Swan Valley, where you can enjoy the hospitality of Highway Wines, as they offer you samples of their products.
