Kimberley Explorer

Dates: July 3 – July 25, 2006
4WD tagalong, self drive.
Self-catering.

The Kimberley is possibly the most amazing part of Australia from a visitor’s point of view – incredible scenery and incomparable tranquility, spirituality and majesty. To ensure our clients enjoy the Kimberley experience ‘to the max’, and because we can’t be everywhere at once, we have established a close working relationship with another tour operator who we know and trust who runs excellent tag-along-tours in the Kimberley region.

We are offering one self-catering tour through the Kimberley in 2006 led by their expert guide. You can ‘jump on/jump off’ for part of the way or travel for the entire expedition. You will need a two-way radio, camping gear, cooking equipment, refrigeration/storage facilities and food. Fuel is additional. If you don’t have your own 4WD and/or camping gear, no problem – we can hire it for you at special rates, and no previous 4WD experience is necessary.

There are a number of self-drive holidays available in the Kimberley, but we would highly recommend the tag-along option rather than going it alone as you will be sure to see the best spots, will be in capable hands in case anything goes wrong, and will also learn a lot about the area while you travel. It will also provide some company for the kids (if you are bringing them!) as there are likely to be other young people along on this fantastic outback adventure!

Highlights:
Cape Leveque
Derby
Gibb River Road
Mitchell Falls
El Questro
Wyndham
Kununurra
Bungle Bungles
Old Halls Creek
Geikie Gorge
Tunnel Creek
Windjana Gorge

Cost: Just $121.00 per day per vehicle
