Planet Perth Tours provide friendly, informative, good value tours that show off the state of Western Australia. The owners have drawn on their experience of travelling and working in the tourism industry to create tours for travellers, backpackers and students who have limited time and budget but want to see as much of Western Australia as possible. From half-day to thirteen-day tours, the aim is to make sure everyone has a great time on informative trips designed to show our beautiful state at its best.

Our clients are generally 18 to 35 years old and predominantly from Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Ireland, Canada and the United States of America.

Broome 10 Day Tour

Exmouth to Broome 5 Day Tour

Departs Exmouth Tuesday afternoon and arrives in Broome Saturday (includes accommodation saturday night).
Day 0: Leave Exmouth and camp on a 295,000 hectare sheep station.
Day 1: Hammersley ranges, Tom Price, Karijini National Park. Overnight Karijini bushcamp. (Dinner).
Day 2: Karijini National Park, Ancient gorges, swimming in waterfalls and pools, bushwalk from Dales Gorge to Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool, Karijini Visitor’s Centre, Weano Gorge, Junction Pool, Oxer’s, Joffre and Knox Lookouts, Handrail Pool. Overnight Karijini bushcamp. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Broome to Perth 3 Day Express

Departs Broome Monday morning and arrives back in Perth Wednesday afternoon. Travel south down the Great Northern Highway. Pass through iron ore and gold mining country, cattle stations and the wheat/sheep belt. See Aboriginal rock carvings and art. Camping or bunkhouse accommodation on sheep/cattle stations. Breakfast days 2 and 3, Dinner day 1 and 2 included. Buy your own lunches en route.

Exmouth 5 Day Tour

Exmouth to Boome to Perth 8 Day Tour

Departs Exmouth Tuesday afternoon and arrives in Broome Saturday, departs Broome Monday morning and arrives in Perth Wednesday afternoon.
Day 0: Leave Exmouth and camp overnight in a 295,000 hectare sheep station (Dinner).
Day 1: Hammersley Ranges, Tom Price, Karijini National Park. Overnight Karijini bushcamp. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 2: Karijini National Park, ancient gorges, swimming in waterfalls and pools, bushwalk from Dales Gorge to Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool, Karijini Visitor’s Centre, Weano Gorge, Junction Pool, Oxer’s, Joffre and Knox Lookouts, Handrail Pool. Overnight Karijini bushcamp. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 3: Port Hedland, De Grey River, Eighty Mile Beach. Overnight Eighty Mile Beach camping. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

South West 4 Day Tour

Day 1: Leave Perth and head south. Head to the Porongurup National Park. Go on an excellent bushwalk to the top of Castle Rock and get fantastic views of the Stirling Ranges. Enjoy a Sunset cruise in Albany (morning whale watching cruise on day two, May-October). Look out for Seals and Dolphins. Overnight in Albany. (Lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Explore the awesome coastline of Albany and the Torndirrup National Park. See the highlights including the The Gap, Natural Bridge and The Blowholes (day one, May-October). Have lunch in Denmark. Visit Greens Pool, a beautiful secluded bay in the Southern Ocean. Explore huge tingle trees in the ‘Valley of the Giants’ and walk along the 400 metre ‘Tree Top Walk’. You’ll really feel in amongst the forest and at times will find yourself 40 metres above the forest floor! On to Pemberton to climb the 61 metre high Gloucester Tree. Overnight in Pemberton. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Day 3: Travel through the karri forests to Augusta, the most southwesterly point in Australia. See where the Indian and the Southern Oceans meet from the top of the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. Go for a swim at beautiful Hamelin Bay and look out for the local sting rays that live there. Go on a guided tour of the spectacular Lake Cave where you can see the limestone formations refected in the still waters. Overnight in Margaret River region. (Breakfast , lunch and dinner).
Day 4: Do the award winning Bushtucker River Tour. This four hour tour includes canoeing, learning about bush food, exploring a cave (optional) and a guided bush walk. Visit a winery in Margaret River and try some wines. Heading back to Perth, stop at Canal Rocks, a line of rocks that form a natural canal. (Breakfast and lunch).

Monkey Mia 4 Day Tour

Day 1: Leave Perth and head north to Nambung National Park. Explore the Pinnacles Desert, where you will see some of these unique limestone formations, some towering up to four metres tall. On to beautiful Hangover Bay where you can go for a swim in the ocean. Head up the coast to Kalbarri. See the coastal gorges with amazing views of the coastline and ocean to the town. Overnight in Kalbarri. (Lunch and dinner).
Day 2: Explore Kalbarri National Park and the Murchison Gorge. Visit Nature’s Window and get stunning views over the park. At the Z Bend Gorge there is an exciting walk down to the bottom where you can cool off with a swim in the Murchison River. Head further north to the Shark Bay Region. Stop at Shell Beach, 110 kilometre long and consisting of solid shells up to 10 metres deep. On to Monkey Mia where you spend the night at the resort. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Day 3: Head down to the beach to see the dolphins. Go sailing on a catamaran and look out for more dolphins, dugongs, turtles and stingrays. Leave Monkey Mia, stop at Eagle Bluff where you get spectacular ocean views from the top of the cliffs. On to Hamelin Pool, a marine reserve containing the ancient Stramatolites. Drive further south for an overnight stay at a farm in Northampton. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Day 4: Visit an Ostrich Farm. See the ostriches and learn about the incubating process. In season you may see baby ostriches hatching. You’ll have the opportunity to sample some Ostrich products afterwards. Have a look around Geraldton. Drive through Greenough where some of the trees lean dramatically due to the strong westerly winds blowing from the ocean. Have a go at sandboarding down huge sand dunes before heading back to Perth, arriving at approximately 1900 (Breakfast and lunch).

Exmouth to Perth 2 Day Express

Departs Exmouth Monday morning and arrives back in Perth Tuesdays afternoon. Overnight at the friendly Northbrook Farmstay near Northampton. You get the opportunity to go sandboarding. Breakfast day 6, Lunches and Dinner day 6 are included.

Wines and Vines

Drive through the vineyards of the scenic Swan Valley. Visit four excellent wineries, learn something about each venue and their wines. Taste a huge range of whites, reds and ports from this region. There will be wines to buy to suit any budget. Visit and try delicious chocolate made at the Chocolate Factory. A chocaholic’s heaven! Make it through the afternoon with one of our ‘Survival Snack Packs’. Or bring some lunch along if you think you’ll need it. All tasting fees are included so there are no hidden costs!
