Touring Options

Outback Station Adventures

Experience the Rugged Aussie Outback first hand at the level you choose – either get down and dirty by helping with the mustering, or take the laid-back option and watch the proceedings from the comfort of the four wheel drive. On an Outback Station Adventure you will visit one of the largest cattle stations in Queensland’s Outback, covering nearly one million acres and running between 10 to 15 thousand cattle. A typical day of this tour consists of an early breakfast with the cowboys before heading out with them on their daily activities consisting of mustering cattle, branding and droving.

Outback Camping Adventures

Up to four people can enjoy a two to four day camping tour to an oasis in the desert, including a visit to Lawn Hill Gorge and its beautiful waterfalls. Fish for barramundi or black bream, go swimming or experience a multitude of birds and wildlife including black cockatoos, parrots, lorikeets, kangaroos, pigs, dingoes and cows. Finish the day listening to the a few yarns around the campfire under the stars. All your equipment is included – all you need to bring are clothes, sunscreen and good walking boots.

Outback Fishing Adventures

If fishing is your passion, this is the tour for you! Take up the barramundi challenge. It’s Australia’s best fighting fish with sizes of 15 to 20 kilograms being caught in the local lakes, as well as black brim and long tom. Rugged Aussie Adventures can also take you into the gulf country to fish the saltwater rivers for more barramundi, king salmon and grunter. There are beautiful swimming holes for you to enjoy while having a break from fishing. Enjoy the experience of camping under the stars, sitting around the campfire at night while listening to a few yarns.

Outback Rodeo Adventures

Outback Rodeo Adventures consist of travelling to an outback rodeo with a guide – who will even compete in the rodeo! Watch all the action as the cowboys try and ride the bucking bulls and horses, or as they jump off a horse at forty kilometres an hour on to a steer with big horns and try to wrestle it to the ground. You will experience the true outback by sleeping under the stars in a swag.
