Tropical Horizons Day Tours

Tropical Horizons Day Tours is a family established and operated day tour business established in 1988 by Libby and Gerald Williamson and conducts its tours in Tropical North Queensland.

Tour itineraries and schedules are specifically designed for small, personalised groups of a maximum of 21 seats per coach. All driver-guides are chosen for their first rate driving skills and their ability to interpret local knowledge of flora, fauna, history and aboriginal culture to small, personalised groups. There is a close interaction between driver-guides and passengers and all venues visited are allowed ample time for discussion between the group and the driver.

Tropical Horizons Day Tours operates a fleet of seven Toyota Coaster Deluxe Coaches – all 21-seaters purchased new. The company has a good upgrading schedule and vehicles are professionally detailed and mechanically maintained by qualified mechanics.

As an owner operated company Tropical Horizons endeavour to keep their tour rack rates very competitive – but including very high quality entries, for example, Skybury – The Australian Coffee Centre, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, Great lunch venue – The Longhouse at Cape Tribulation Resort and Daintree Discovery Centre, unique lunch venue beside Mungalli Waterfall and Paronella Park – Historic and Cultural Gardens.

An incentive discount is provided to book onto a second tour – thereby saving off a second tour booking. Tours do not need to be booked simultaneously.

Tropical Horizons specialises in full and half day tours to the fully independent traveller and to a lesser extent group charters – both domestic and inbound. Interpretive guides can be supplied at extra cost to groups of more then ten guests.

Daily tours are operated to Kuranda and Cairns Highlands including Train and/or Skyrail, Daintree Port Douglas and Mossman Gorge, Daintree and Cape Tribulation and The Waterfalls, Wildlife and Paronella Park tour.
