Wilpena Pound Two Day Tour – BYT06

Discover the majestic and scenic beauty of the Flinders Ranges and Wilpena Pound, see native Australian wildlife in their natural habitat.

. Day One – Adelaide to Wilpena Pound – Depart Adelaide at 0730 in air conditioned comfort travelling north to Port Augusta. Enter the Flinders Ranges via the Pichi Richi Pass. At 1300 arrive at Quorn for lunch. After lunch inspect the historic township and then continue onto Willochra Plain and Hawker arriving at Wilpena Pound for an evening stroll to Wangara Lookout before dinner at your motel. Includes lunch and dinner.

Day Two – Wilpena Pound to Adelaide – See kangaroos, Wedgetail eagles, many animals and birds living in the wild as nature intended, along with the colour and scenery of the Flinders Ranges as you travel through Bunyeroo Gorge, Brachina Gorge and the Aroona Valley. After a relaxing lunch journey through the Southern Flinders Ranges and the Clare Valley wine district to arrive in Adelaide at approximately 1800. Includes breakfast and lunch.

Flinders Ranges Three Day Tour – BYT02

Flinders Ranges three day tour, with an experienced driver. Travel in a modern air conditioned four wheel drive vehicle. Highlights include Wilpena Pound, Melrose, Hawker and Parachilna.

. Day One – Adelaide to Wilpena Pound – Travel north on Highway 1 stopping for morning tea enroute. Follow the Bridle Path, an old stock route to lunch stop in the historic town of Melrose located at the base of Mount Remarkable. After lunch see the craft shops and local sights. Continue to Hawker via Quorn and the Willochra Plain. At Hawker there is time to see the local art gallery and geological museum. Enjoy an exciting off road excursion on Arkaba Station. Overnight stay at Wilpena Pound Resort. Includes lunch and dinner.

. Day Two – Flinders Ranges – Start the day with an early morning 30 minute (at own expense) scenic flight over Wilpena Pound. After breakfast take a walk into Wilpena Pound to Hill’s Cottage and Wangara Lookout. Enjoy a barbecue lunch followed by a drive through Bunyeroo Gorge and Brachina Gorge geolocial trail to the Prairie Hotel, Parachilna for overnight stay. Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

. Day Three – Parachilna to Adelaide – After a hearty breakfast, depart and travel through the Parachilna Gorge to Blinman, an old copper mining town. After visiting the old mine enjoy morning tea while inspecting the local cemetery. See the Great Wall of China and Stoke’s Lookout on the way to lunch at the Arkaba Woolshed which has been in continuous operation since 1856. Return to Adelaide via Hawker, Quorn, Melrose and the wine producing area of the Clare Valley. Includes breakfast and lunch.

Southern Flinders One Day Tour – BYT04

The Flinders Ranges encompasses some of the most rugged and remote country in South Australia. Travel through wheat and barley fields of the Gilbert Valley to the wine growing area of the Clare Valley. Enjoy morning tea in Clare amid its old world charm. Travel north into the Flinders Ranges Germein Gorge. Follow the Bridle Path stock route across the top of the Southern Flinders Ranges. Drive into historic Melrose for a cafe lunch and time to browse and wander along the historic main street. Travel to Wilmington and Alligator Gorge, part of the Mount Remarkable National Park. Take a walk into the breathtaking gorge, see dramatic rock formations and arid flora that shaped this ancient landscape. Travel back to Adelaide via Horrocks Pass, Lochiel, Lake Bambunga and Port Wakefield.

. Monday and Wednesday, 0715 to 2000. Tour available on other days, by arrangement, subject to a minimum of four passengers.

Flinders Ranges Four Day Tour – BYT01

Discover the majestic Flinders Ranges, its gorges and magnificent scenery, stay at Wilpena Pound and take the famous Ridge Top tour.

. Day One – Travel via Port Wakefield through wheat country to Port Germein for morning tea. Engage four wheel drive and follow the Bridle Path an old stock route for magnificent views of Spencer Gulf and the surrounding ranges. Enjoy lunch at Bluey’s Blacksmith Shop in Melrose. Resume journey to the Central Flinders. Stay overnight at Wilpena Pound.

. Day Two – Optional early morning scenic flight over Wilpena Pound (at own cost) or take a short walk to Hill’s Cottage located within the pound. Visit lookouts enroute to Blinman, an old copper mining town for morning tea. Enjoy the magnificent surrounds and a picnic lunch at Chamber’s Gorge. After passing through Balcanoona arrive at Arkaroola for overnight stay.

. Day Three – Optional four wheel drive Ridge Top tour (at own cost) to Siller’s Lookout, one of the best scenic drives in the Flinders Ranges. After lunch depart Arkaroola, travel via Umberatana and Mount Serle Cattle Station to Copley for a break then proceed to overnight stop at the Prairie Hotel, Parachilna.

. Day Four – After breakfast visit the spectacular Brachina and Bunyeroo Gorges on the way to Quorn and the Quondong Cafe for lunch. In the afternoon return to Adelaide via Melrose, the oldest town in the Flinders Ranges, Laura and the Clare wine district for afternoon tea. Arrive Adelaide at approximately 1800.

Coorong Adventure One Day Tour – BYT05

A small group coastal adventure day tour travelling south east of Adelaide enroute to the isolated beauty of the Coorong. The Coorong is a narrow stretch of water running from the River Murray mouth to just north of Kingston, 145 kilometres to the south. Bounded on the seaward side by the large sand hills of Younghusband Peninsula. Over 400 species of birds including spoonbills, Black swans, gannets and plovers inhabit the lagoons. The tour focuses on natural attractions such as rugged coastlines, beautiful beaches, rolling sand dunes, peaceful lagoons and unspoilt flora and fauna. Explore off the beaten track, drive over magnificent sand dunes and bush tracks with panoramic views of the Great Southern Ocean. Stroll along the 90 Mile beach searching for unusual sea shells and other interesting artefacts washed ashore. Visit the historic Wellington Courthouse and Camp Coorong Aboriginal Museum, subject to availability. Cross the mighty River Murray on the Wellington Ferry.
