Day One – Adelaide to Grampians National Park – An early start this morning, driving through the picturesque Adelaide Hills, crossing the mighty Murray River, passing through South Australian country towns to today’s destination, the magnificent Grampians National Park. We spend the afternoon hiking at Hollow Mountain and the amazing MacKenzie Falls, finishing the day with breathtaking sunset views from The Balconies and Reeds Lookout. Overnight is at Halls Gap, in the heart of the Grampians. Includes dinner.

Day Two – Grampians National Park via the Great Ocean Road to Port Campbell – Start the morning with a challenging hike to the Pinnacle, exploring the natural wonders and breathtaking views this national park has to offer. We visit Brambuks Aboriginal Cultural Centre before heading south to the coast and Warrnambool for a chance to view whales (seasonal). The renowned Great Ocean Road beckons for us to explore its beauty. You will see the Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs, The Grotto, London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge before enjoying sunset over the Twelve Apostles. Stay overnight in the fishing village of Port Campbell or Princetown. Includes breakfast and dinner.

Day Three – Port Campbell to Melbourne – This morning we enjoy an early sunrise at the Twelve Apostles before making our way down Gibson Steps to the beach for a different perspective of these amazing formations. Next up we spend time at the awesome Otway Fly, (a 25 metre high elevated tree top walk). Continuing on we pass through the magnificent cool temperate rainforests of the Otway National Park, onto the coastal towns of Apollo Bay and Lorne, exploring the pristine beaches and gorges. We make our way via the world famous Bells Beach to Torquay (home of Quicksilver and Rip Curl) after clearing the shops of bargains we head to the our final destination of Melbourne. Includes breakfast.

Adelaide to Darwin 14 Day Safari – PBTAN

Highlights of this 14 day tour include Parachilna, Flinders Ranges, Wilpena Pound, Coober Pedy, Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Kings Canyon , Alice Springs, Mataranka Springs, Katherine Gorge, Darwin, Litchfield National Park, Mary River and Kakadu National Park

. Day One – Adelaide to Parachilna – Leaving Adelaide we travel through the Clare Valley then continue on to Kanyaka Homestead and the Flinders Ranges. We view Aboriginal rock art at Yourambulla Caves then head to Parachilna for a memorable Aussie barbecue (including local game) and overnight dormitory accommodation. Includes lunch and dinner.

. Day Two – Flinders Ranges and Wilpena Pound – We drive through Parachilna Gorge before arriving at Wilpena Pound to climb Mount Ohlssen-Bagge for fantastic views over the ranges. . Day Four – Coober Pedy to Uluru – We drive through rugged desert country to Yulara for sunset at Uluru (Ayers Rock) then view the stars from our overnight permanent camp. Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

. Day Five – Uluru to Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon. Up early for the Uluru sunrise where you can enjoy a base walk or choose to climb Uluru, followed by a guided interpretive walk at Mala. . Day Six – Kings Canyon to Alice Springs – Hike and explore Kings Canyon including the breathtaking North and South Walls, the Lost City and Garden of Eden. After lunch we depart for Alice Springs. Overnight dormitory accommodation, breakfast and lunch included.

Includes lunch and dinner.

. Day Ten – Banka Banka to Katherine Gorge – Call in at the famous Daly Waters outback pub, have a swim in Mataranka Thermal Springs, then head to the magnificent Katherine Gorge for overnight camp. Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

. Day Eleven – Katherine Gorge to Darwin – Spend half a day at the spectacular Katherine Gorge (canoe, cruise or helicopter ride at own expense) before heading to Darwin via Edith Falls and Adelaide River. Overnight dormitory accommodation, breakfast and lunch included.

. Day Twelve – Darwin to Mary River – See the falls of Litchfield National Park then head to the Mary River Wetlands for an afternoon wildlife cruise. Enjoy dinner, an Aboriginal Corroborree and overnight camp at Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge. Includes lunch and dinner.

Day Thirteen – Mary River to Kakadu – We call in at Mamukala Wetlands then four wheel drive into the awesome Jim Jim Falls before heading to Twin Falls where we join a national park operated boat and boardwalk experience through the gorge to the waterfall. We drive on to Kakadu for dinner and overnight camp. Includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

. Day Fourteen – Kakadu to Darwin – Our first stop is Ubirr to discover ancient Aboriginal rock art then head to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), where we do some hiking and enjoy a refreshing dip in the plunge pools before returning to Darwin. Includes breakfast and lunch.

Flinders Ranges Two and a Half Day Safari – FLR

Kangaroo Island Two Day Safari – KI2

Enjoy a visit to Kangaroo Island and marvel at its beautiful coastlines and its abundant variety of wildlife.

. Day One – Adelaide to Kangaroo Island – After meeting your Adventure Tours Australia guide and fellow travellers as we drive south of Adelaide through the scenic hills of the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis. Here we board the Sealink ferry to cross Backstairs Passage to Kangaroo Island – a 45 minute journey to Penneshaw. Once on shore, we stretch our legs while searching for Tammar wallabies and the Glossy Black cockatoo before heading to one of the island’s most stunning surf beaches at Pennington Bay. Our next stop and the highlight for most is the opportunity to walk amongst Australian sea lions, in their natural habitat on a guided interpretive walk at Seal Bay. We then play and explore on the magnificent white sand dunes at Little Sahara, visit Vivonne Bay and search for koalas at the Hanson Bay Koala Sanctuary. We arrive at our farm-stay late afternoon and after dinner search for kangaroos, wallabies and possums on a guided nocturnal walk. Includes lunch and dinner.

. Day Two – Kangaroo Island to Adelaide – Our morning is spent in the Flinders Chase National Park starting with an interpretive walk (four kilometres return) at Snake Lagoon. We wind our way through the Rocky River Valley to the Southern Ocean, learning about the native flora and fauna of this unique eco-system. We then make our way to Remarkable Rocks for a leisurely stroll amongst the huge weather-sculptured granite outcrops, visit Admirals Arch at Cape du Couedic to watch the resident colony of New Zealand fur seals frolic in the ocean or bask in the sun and then break for lunch at Rocky River Headquarters, with time to check out the Information Centre. Following lunch, we travel through the central farming region to Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery – the only commercial distillery in operation in South Australia followed by a tasting of locally produced wines. Our final stop is Cape Willoughby – home of the oldest lighthouse in South Australia and picturesque views of the rugged coastline and Devil’s Kitchen. We return to Penneshaw for our journey back to Adelaide. Includes breakfast and lunch.
