Touring Options

Flinders Ranges and Outback Five Day Tour – WTTC02

Tailor made tour over five days and four nights throughout the Flinders Ranges (central and northern), Oodnadatta Track via Lake Eyre, William Creek and Coober Pedy. The tour can be camping or accommodated.

. Day One – Adelaide to Rawnsley Park Station. Highlights include: Luxury coach to Port Augusta, Pichi Pichi Pass, historic Quorn, Warren Gorge and Yellow Footed rock wallaby spotting, Yourambulla Cave/Aboriginal site, Hawker township/Jeff Morgan Gallery and Moralana Scenic Drive.

. Day Two – Rawnsley Park to Chambers Gorge. Highlights include: Optional one or two hour horseback ride (extra cost), local bushwalk, Wilpena Visitor Centre, guided walk into Wilpena Pound (grade: easy), optional scenic flight at AUD50.00 per person, drive across outback to Chambers Gorge, bush camp (swags).

. Day Three – Chambers Gorge to Lake Eyre. Highlights include: Morning bush walk in Chambers Gorge – visit Blinman copper mine, Parachilna Gorge, Prairie Hotel, Aroona Dam, Leigh Creek open cut mine, Talc Alf, Oodnadatta Track and dingo Fence.

. Day Four – Lake Eyre to Coober Pedy. Highlights include: Walk and explore Lake Eyre, Old Ghan railway siting, Mound Springs, Blanches Cup, Coward Hot Springs (spa), William Creek Hotel and travel across the world’s largest cattle station.

. Day Five – Coober Pedy to Adelaide. A full days driving back to Adelaide.

Weekend Escape Two Day/Two Night Tour – WTTC03

Explore the Central Flinders Ranges. Enjoy a morning wallaby watch at Warren Gorge and travel over Outback sheep station country via back tracks to explore the Flinders Ranges National Park. Four wheel drive through Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges spotting the endangered Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby and admire some of the oldest rock formations in the world. Visit Yourambulla Caves – Aboriginal art sites. Enjoy guided bush walks into the magnificent Wilpena Pound.

. Day Two – Explore the Southern Flinders Ranges. Visit Buckeringa Gorge, spotting endangered Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies and Mount Remarkable National Park with a guided walk through Alligator Gorge. Visit Bluey Blundstones Blacksmiths Cafe, Melrose and township.

. Operates:
. Friday from Adelaide Central Bus Station at 1630, returning 2100 Sunday or from Port Augusta or Quorn by arrangement.

Four Wheel Drive Mountain Safari Three Day/Three Night Tour – WTTC04

Flinders Ranges. Visit Buckeringa Gorge, spotting endangered Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies and enjoy a Yourambulla Caves walk. Enjoy guided bush walks into the magnificent Wilpena Pound (suitable for all fitness levels). Travel across the Bunker Range and sheep station country to our remote bush campsite at Chambers Gorge and enjoy a campfire dinner. Options – sunset/night walk and damper making.

. Day Two – Gammon Ranges and Arkaroola. Enjoy a Chambers Gorge walk or optional sunrise breakfast atop Mount Chambers. Travel further north into the Northern Flinders Ranges. Absorb the rugged beauty of Arkaroola (two hour return bushwalk – waterhole/gorge). Afternoon drive via Neppabunna, Leigh Creek and have a beer at the Prairie Hotel. Spend the night bush camping in the amazing Brachina Gorge.

. Day Three – Four wheel drive and walk through Brachina and Bunyeroo Gorges for Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby spotting. Bushwalk to Arkaroo Rock to see Aboriginal art site. Head back to Quorn via Hawker.

. Tuesday from Adelaide Central Bus Station at 1630, returning 2130 Friday or from Port Augusta or Quorn by arrangement.
