The Essence of Adelaide Half Day Tour – 2HC

Introducing the charming city of Adelaide, one of the best planned cities in the world, proud of its relaxed lifestyle, colonial heritage and reputation as one of the major arts centres of Australia. This personalised tour is designed to introduce you to the history and heritage of Adelaide. Highlights include the City’s square mile with its distinctive squares and terraces surrounded by parks and gardens, the diverse residential architecture of North Adelaide with its bluestone mansions and row cottages and North Terrace with its galleries, museums and hidden away courtyards. We’ll stop for refreshments at our favourite coffee shop or in the home of a local and guide you to the best eating and shopping area. You may wish to stroll through the Central Market, rich in atmosphere and fresh produce and visit The Jam Factory, South Australia’s centre of fine crafts or Tandanya, Australia’s National Aboriginal Cultural Institute.

We’ll warmly welcome you on arrival in Adelaide and on the way to your accommodation introduce you to some of the special features of the city, including the best shopping and dining areas.

Hahndorf and Cleland Wildlife Park Tour – 3H

This half day tour includes a scenic drive through the Adelaide Hills, taking you from the breathtaking views of Mount Lofty Summit through a fascinating wildlife sanctuary to the historic town of Hahndorf which takes pride in its German heritage. Cleland Wildlife Sanctuary – offers the opportunity to walk amongst tame kangaroos, wallabies and emus who roam free in a bush like setting. Colourful birds share their home with you in a giant walk through aviary. Koalas are available for patting and photographing (at own expense). Mount Lofty Summit – where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Adelaide metropolitan area and coast with refreshments. Hahndorf – named after the ship’s master, Captain Hahn, has turned many of its historical building into galleries and craft shops. Visitors also have the opportunity to enjoy some traditional German fare.

Experience Adelaide Homelife Dinner – 9H

Something very different providing the opportunity to experience Adelaide homelife by joining a host family for dinner in their own home. Menus are tailored to individual tastes and range from a casual barbecue to a formal dinner. A great way to meet the locals.

Warrawong Sanctuary Evening Tour – 6H

On an evening walk, experience unique Australian animals up close and personal in their natural habitat at Warrawong Sanctuary. View the nocturnal creatures foraging for their food whilst enjoying a meal in congenial surroundings. Situated near Mylor in the Adelaide Hills, Warrawong Sanctuary is 35 acres of restored Australian bushland where many of Australia’s rare and endangered species have been reintroduced. A specialist guide will introduce you to some of the smaller species like bettongs, pottaroos, bilbies and bandicoots.

Adelaide Hills, Secrets and Surprises – 3F

Only half an hour from the centre of Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills offer visitors a delightful collection of attractions with a distinctly South Australian flavour … village galleries featuring local crafts, Australian native wildlife, wine tasting and botanic gardens … all can be selected to suit your interests. This full day tour allows you to discover the charm of Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest German settlement and home of the late Sir Hans Heysen, one of Australia’s greatest artists. On certain days you may visit The Cedars, his home and studio to view some of the rarer examples of his work and stroll in the property’s country cottage gardens. You may enjoy the spectacular views at Mount Lofty. A relaxing afternoon allows a stroll through the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens.. Visit Cleland Wildlife Sanctuary and enjoy a close encounter with native animals.
