Pause at Ormiston Gorge for a gourmet picnic lunch before continuing on to Glen Helen Gorge and Simpsons Gap, with possible sighting of the black footed rock wallabies.

Cattle Station Homestead Tour

Explore the historic Bond Springs Cattle Station, located in the Alice Springs region. There you can gain an appreciation for life in the outback, learn about the workings of a cattle station, and tour historic buildings, including a homestead dating back to 1876 and an old School of the Air classroom. Afternoon West MacDonnell Ranges (Standley Chasm and Simpsons Gap)

Explore the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges on this tour departing from Alice Springs. First you will visit Anzac Hill, where you can enjoy vista views of the mountains, the town and the scenic surrounds. You will then visit the grave of Reverend John Flynn, founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and the Twin Ghost Gums, where Albert Namatjira painted one of his famous watercolours. Following this you will visit Standley Chasm, a deep red cleft where sheer rock faces reflect rich colours in the sunlight, before moving on to Simpsons Gap, a haven for black footed rock wallabies.
