Mooramong – a unique National Trust property Homestead, gardens, nature reserve and accommodation on a working farm near Skipton in the Western District of Victoria. Farmstay accommodation (self catering, supply own bed linen and towels) is available in two self-contained cottages. The Stockman’s Cottage has 3 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen/dining room with wood heater and a cosy lounge room with open fire. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom 2 single beds. A bathroom and laundry complete the facilities. The Overseer’s Cottage has 3 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen/dining room with wood heater and a cosy lounge room with open fire. The main bedroom has a double bed, the second bedroom 2 single beds and the third bedroom has 4 bunk beds. A bathroom, second toilet and laundry complete the facilities. Group accommodation (self catering, supply own bedding, bed linen and towels) is available in the Shearer’s Quarters which has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room with open fire and a lounge room with open fire. A gas barbeque as well as a large wood burning barbeque and campfire area are available (weather and fire restrictions permitting). Up to 28 can be accommodated in 12 rooms. Shower and toilet facilities are all under the same roof. This accommodation is part of a unique National Trust property which comprises a historic homestead built in the 1870s and extensively renovated in 1938, beautiful gardens and parkland, a nature reserve that is one of the leading centres for the re-establishment of the endangered eastern barred bandicoot as well as being the National Trust’s only operating farm. Guided tours of the homestead are available as well as the use of all facilities. A perfect place to relax and unwind in a peaceful rural setting
