Tasty Olive, The, Cowaramup

The Tasty Olive is close to the towns of Margaret River (15 minutes) and Cowaramup (five minutes) with their boutique, gourmet and craft shops, galleries and restaurants.

The bush setting offers a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life but is within easy reach of all the attractions of the region including wineries and walk trails, cheese and chocolate factories, beaches, forest and caves. Wine tours can be arranged with pickup from The Tasty Olive.

The property is set on 100 acres with the bush, vineyard, olive grove and pasture each contributing to a fascinating landscape as the seasons change. The rammed earth homestead is cool in summer and warm in winter.

The guest accommodation is housed in a separate wing. There are two queen size bedrooms each with a private bathroom and also a twin-bedded room. A comfortable sitting room has television, DVD, books, games and a cosy wood fire. The dining area has a fridge, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities.

The tariff includes a welcome platter of Tasty Olive produce and a delicious continental breakfast including juice, fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt, toast and croissants with freshly brewed coffee and tea. A hearty cooked breakfast can be prepared on request.

For those who enjoy active pursuits there are tennis courts in nearby Cowaramup and easy access to the many walk and cycle tracks in the area. After a day out guests can eat at the local bistro or stay at home and enjoy a barbeque and perhaps a game of boules. Rosy, the farm dog, is always happy to take guests for a walk to see the kangaroos. In summer, the clear night sky is a must for star gazing.
