Your ‘Crowdy Head Escape’ at Karkoo (Aboriginal (Biripi) for Kookaburra, often seen perched in the garden) takes full advantage of the fabulous views across Crowdy Bay, the harbour, ocean & hinterland. View spectacular sunsets & listen to the surf at night & birds in the morning.

Crowdy Head Escape’s Karkoo is a 3 bedroom holiday home 4 hours north of Sydney offering a delightful & relaxing holiday in the friendly village of Crowdy Head, the jewel of the mid north coast & surrounded by Crowdy Bay National Park.

Activities on offer include:
– Fishing, swimming, surfing, diving, snorkelling, dolphin & whale watching (in season), walking or just relaxing.
– Stroll to clean sandy beaches (Surf club with Cafe overlooks a great kids beach & 4x4s are permitted with a permit), Crowdy Head lighthouse (watch the sun rise over the Pacific), tennis court, harbour walls & jetties (great fishing) & the Fish Coop for your fresh Crowdy Bay prawns.
– 10 minute drive to shops, cafes, restaurants, pub & bowling club in Harrington.
– Many national parks & other spectacular spots within a 30 minute drive.

Karkoo’s features include:
– Modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven & cook top plus gas BBQ with roasting lid downstairs.
– Televisions, DVD players, VCR, stereo/CD, clock radios & phone (in-coming & emergency calls only)
– Large furnished sundeck overlooking Crowdy Bay, the harbour & the hinterland.
– Ceiling fan in main bedroom, pedestal & desk fans, plus wood & electric heaters.
– Laundry with front load washing machine & clothes dryer.
– Second shower & separate 2nd toilet downstairs.
– Off-street parking for 2 cars & 4 lane boat ramp just 200 metres away.
– Karkoo sleeps 7 in comfort (2 x queen beds upstairs & 1 single bed & 1 double bunk downstairs. There is provision for 2 more on a sofa bed downstairs, however, a surcharge applies for extra people to cover additional management costs.
