Heavens Mountain Escape, The, Kangaroo Valley

The Heavens Mountain Escape is an exclusive, secluded retreat, located at the base of the escarpment that surrounds the beautiful Kangaroo Valley. Consisting of only three private cottages, situated on a 160 acre property, The Heavens offers guests an unrivalled view of the valley below.

The Heavens is ideal for that romantic getaway, or a relaxing holiday with friends. You can spend your time here relaxing and taking in the magnificent view, or you could partake in one of the many activities in and around Kangaroo Valley. The choice is yours, you can do as little or as much as you wish.

Accommodation Options

Elysium Two Bedroom Cottage

In Greek mythology, ‘Elysium’ is the abode of the blessed, or paradise. Situated at the end of the world, it is here that those chosen by the gods are sent. Elysium is a two bedroom cottage, which sleeps a maximum of four people. Each bedroom contains a queen sized bed.

Relax in the spacious living room, complete with TV, DVD player and stereo. The cottage also contains a selection of books, games, CD’s and DVD’s for your enjoyment. Sip on a refreshing drink or cook up a feast on the BBQ, on your private verandah, overlooking the valley below. Or simply lie back and have a relaxing spa bath.

Elysium is equipped with a two burner cooktop, convection microwave oven, toaster, kettle and fridge. It is air-conditioned and a gas heater is also provided. For those lucky enough to enjoy a longer stay, there is a washing machine in the cottage for your use.

As we wish your stay at The Heavens to be private and peaceful, we do not service the room daily. However, extra towels are provided should you wish to use them.

Aurora Single Bedroom Cottage

In Roman mythology,’Aurora’ is the personification of the dawn. She is seen as a lovely woman who flies across the sky announcing the arrival of the sun.

Aurora is a one bedroom cottage, designed exclusively for couples. Opened in September 2002, this cottage has been architect designed, using passive solar principles for your year round comfort, and also to take full advantage of both the view and the natural environment. Enjoy the magnificent valley and escarpment views from every room, while enjoying the backdrop of the Australian bush.

The bedroom contains a king sized bed, and the cottage is furnished with unique timber furniture made for The Heavens by a local craftsman, from recycled Australian hardwoods. Relax in the spacious living room complete with TV, DVD player and stereo. The cottage also contains a selection of books, games, CD’s, and DVD movies for your enjoyment.

Sip a refreshing drink while cooking up a storm on the BBQ, on your verandah overlooking the valley below. Or simply lie back and have a relaxing soak, while taking in the breathtaking view from the large oval spa bath. The cottage is well equipped for those who wish to cook, with a gas stove, convection microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. It is air conditioned and a gas fire place is also provided. For those lucky to enjoy a longer stay, there is a washing machine in the cottage for your use.

In Ancient Mesopotamia, ‘Inanna’ was the most important goddess of the Sumerian pantheon. She is the goddess of love and fertility.
