Zoofari Lodge, Dubbo

Zoofari Lodge – Awaken to the wild at Zoofari Lodge

Nestled deep in the heart of the African Savannah section of Western Plains Zoo, Dubbo, Zoofari Lodge offers unique accommodation and exclusive behind-the-scenes animal tours.

Zoofari Lodge consists of a series of African-style tented luxury lodges with ensuite facilities and heated floor tiles, and a stunning Main House designed with a strong African influence. The Main House includes a fully licensed restaurant and bar, lounge area, library and saltwater swimming pool.

The 12 individual lodges, located just a few steps from a huge savannah where several species of African animals roam, consist of two styles – Savannah and Serengeti. The Savannah Lodges comfortably sleep four people, while the Serengeti Lodges sleep six.

Zoofari Lodge packages include two-day zoo admission and three exclusive, face-to-face encounters with exotic and endangered animals.

The three tours, led by experienced guides and conducted in the comfort of an air-conditioned mini coach, provide a magical opportunity to get close, really close, to some wonderful creatures. Thanks to the special knowledge of Zoofari guides, guests get to know the animals’ individual personalities and learn all about the history and habitat of these amazing creatures.

In addition to close, personal animal encounters, inclusive a la carte meals and unique accommodation in an amazing location, Zoofari Lodge has an outstanding reputation for service.

A regular feature in metropolitan travel journals and a highly recommended holiday location, Zoofari Lodge is, in essence, a private African safari experience safe in the heart of Central West NSW. It is an experience unmatched anywhere else in Australia.

Zoofari Lodge is located within the grounds of Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, Central West NSW. Dubbo is linked to major NSW and interstate highways as well as daily air, rail and coach services.
