Yeranda at Barrington Tops, Dungog

Yeranda at Barrington Tops comprises three hand crafted cottages which are each located in very secluded and separate parts of a 140 acre Wild Life Refuge. The first two cottages we owner built operate on solar lighting and gas appliances. ‘Kalimna’ sleeps one or two persons whilst ‘Pindari’ can accommodate four persons. A small family is welcome in ‘Pindari’.

Elouera operates on 240 volts and is a three bedroom adults/young adults cottage only. The fully equipped kitchen has a ceramic topped stove with fan forced oven, microwave, a maxi sandwich press, vitamiser…home away from home! There is a reverse cycle airconditioner.

All cottages have cosy log fires, internal bathrooms but with the added attraction of outdoor shower houses. Each cottage has under cover BBQs and designated outdoors fire places where one can try their skill at camp oven cooking, jaffles, toasting marshmallows, bily tea.

Kalimna cottage

This was the first hand crafted cottage built by Kevin and Ros Runciman at Yeranda. Being in a very secluded position on their 57 hectare Wild Life Refuge property it required the use of solar power for lighting and gas appliances. It was built to AS 1428.1 1993 (the Australian Standard for mobility limited guests), has had a feature out door shower added which is ramped for access. The hexagonal shower is fully "under the stars" and a memorable part of staying in this fully self contained cottage.
Guests are welcome to use the phone or email facilities at the main house .

Pindari cottage

Pindari was the second cottage to open at Yeranda and as with Kalimna it has a feature outdoors shower, a cooking area outside for campoven cooking, jaffles, billy tea (this is available at all three cottages) The outdoors showers and camp cooking areas are in addition to inside facilities!
Pindari has a queen sized bed room plus an extended living area where there are two single beds. It is the cottage suitable for small families or two couples.

Elouera cottage

The third and final cottage at Yeranda is Elouera which is the only cottage connected to 240 volt power. A three bedroom luxury cottage it boasts a feature outdoors shower house and a "loo with a view" Guests staying at Elouera are guaranteed year round comfort with a reverse cycle air conditioner. A cosy log fire is usually the winter preference though!
The full kitchen includes a micro wave, ceramic topped stove, vitamiser; the true home away from home!

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
