Bygone Beautys Cottages, Leura

Bygone Beautys Cottages offer a range of fully self-contained cottages in the heart of the Blue Mountains, conveniently located to all attractions. the kitchens are stocked with ingredients for a traditional Aussie breakfast.

The bathrooms have a generous supply of fluffy towels and toiletries. Most of the cottages have central heating and for that extra mountain atmosphere, a burning log fire.

Chocolates and flowers await guests on their arrival and Bygone Beautys Tearooms serve a delicious complimentary Devonshire Tea to guests during their stay.

Accommodation Options

Pine Lodge

Pine Lodge is an elegant cedar country house of federation origin, set amidst 5 acres of beautiful, exhibition quality gardens (shared by 2 other Bygone Beautys Cottages). Pine Lodge can accommodate up to 10 people with 1 queen bedroom, 2 double bedrooms, double sofa bed in television room, 2 leather chesterfields in lounge room.
Pine Lodge is centrally heated, with a slow combustion fire as well, TV, VCR, CD player, fully equipped kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, laundry, separant elegant dining room seats 10, master ensuite shower, main bathroom has a separate shower & single spa bath.
Designed for a family or medium sized group, Pine Lodge offers elegance, comfort and attention to detail. For a larger group you can book Pine Lodge, The Chalet and The Cottage and have access to the whole 5 acres.
There is off street parking, local access phone, security alarm & security garden lighting.

Sharphens

Sharphens is a 1940’s cottage set in a quiet Wentworth Falls street, on 3 acres of bushland. It is a popular cottage for families as it comprises 1 queen bedroom, 1 double bedroom, 1 single bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge room.

Open plan lounge.dining room adjoins the fully equipped & stocked kitchen including microwave and stove. There is a TV, VCR, sound system, local access phone, security alarm, outside laundry, off street parking, open fire in lounge room, slow combustion fire in dining room. The bathroom is Jarrah timber and has a bath with a shower over.

There is an abundance of birdlife at Sharphens and the possums come out to play just after dark. Sharphens is situated next door to The Cottage, The Chalet and Pine Lodge for larger groups wishing to be accommodated close together.

The Chalet

The Chalet is an 4.5 star, elegant cedar chalet designed with romance in mind, set within 5 acres of beautiful gardens (shared with Pine Lodge & The Cottage). designed for 2 people however it can accommodate up to 4 people. The Chalet has a queen sized four poster bed and a double sofa bed in the TV room. The bathroom features a triple spa, a sepaate 4 way shower, slow combustion fire and central heating.

There is a fully equipped and stocked kitchen complete with microwave, central heating, slow combustion fire, TV, VCR, CD player, off street parking, security lighting and alarm system.

The Chalet is extremely popular with honeymooners or those seeking a romantic weekend or getaway. The 5 acres of shared grounds have formal gardens, open ground, abundant birdlife and a relaxed private atmosphere.

Bronte

Bronte is a French provincial style country house set on 6 acres of beautiful established gardens with night illumination a special feature. Located next to Blue Mountains national Park it is conveniently located for bushwalking.

Bronte accommodates up to 8 people with 2 queen bedrooms, 2 double sofa beds, one in the lounge and the other in the sunroom. This cottage is popular with families, couples and groups up to 8 and is large enough for all to be comfortable. The main queen bedroom has an ensuite, with a separate bathroom for other guests, showers only (no bath). Sunken lounge/dining room overlooks the garden comprises TV, VCR, CD player, microwave, full kitchen, dishwasher, local access phone, laundry facilities, off street parking, central heating and slow combustion fire make this cottage extremely comforatable. For added security, Bronte has an alarm.

Bronte’s extensive grounds have many areas to explore, from the formal garden area, the secret garden at the front, it’s own bushwalk, koi pond, summer house and full sized all weather tennis court (shared with 3 of our other cottages). For a true mountains experience, Bronte offers peace and tranquillity with only the wildlife to interrupt the serenity.

The Cottage

The Cottage is located at Wentworth Falls down a quiet mountain lane, and is part of the Pine Lodge complex which has 3 residences. All 3 are popular for larger groups who wish to be accommodated together. It is also popular with couples who feel that they are separate from the other cottages.

The Cottage is a cedar cottage built in the 1920’s and set on 5 acres of gardens (shared with Pine Lodge & The Chalet yet discreetly private). Accommodating up to 4 people with one bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge room. It has a separate dining room, full kitchen, slow combustion fire, central heating, TV, VCR, CD player. The bathroom has a shower over the bath; there are laundry facilities and off street parking, local access phone & security alarm. Bird life abounds in the established gardens, so if you are looking for peace and tranquility, The Cottage would suit.

Robin’s Nest

Robin’s Nest is a quaint 100 year old weatherboard cottage originally built at Katoomba but transported to Bullaburra by Bygone Beautys Cottages back in 2000. This is a delightful 1 bedroom miner’s type cottage comprising one double bedroom, a double sofa bed in the reading room, a combined lounge/dining room and a separate galley style, fully equipped kitchen.

This cottage is set next to Redgum Park (part of Blue Mountains National Park) and has a front and rear verandah where you can watch the birdlife, the possums and wallabies all visit the surrounding area, so that you feel you are close to nature here at Robin’s Nest.
There is a local access phone, off street parking, security alarm, a shower over the bath, slow combustion fire with wood supplied. For garden lovers, the cottage garden has only been planted for a couple of years but is coming along nicely, now.

Tarcoola

Tarcoola was originally built in the 1930’s and is set in a traditional garden on 1 acre with an elevated canopied verandah overlooking the National Park. Accommodating 2-10 people, Tarcoola has 4 bedrooms, 1 queen, 2 double, 1 twin and a double sofa bed in the billiard room.
One of the features of Tarcoola is the downstairs billiard room, popular with families and groups, there is central heating, an open fire place and a slow combustion fire. Tarcoola has 2 bathrooms one with a separate bathtub.
The fully equipped and stocked kitchen includes a microwave; there is also a laundry, off street parking, local access phone, security alarm, lounge room, dining room, front and back verandahs. Located at the end of a quiet mountain street, Tarcoola offers peace and tranquility next to the bushland.

Blue Haze

Blue Haze is a 1950’s weatherboard cottage set on the edge of the National Park at the end of a quiet mountain street, opposite Red Gum Park at Bullaburra and is conveniently located for bushwalking. Set principally amidst bushland, although in a residential area, neighbours are a distance away.
Blue Haze accommodates up to 6 people with 1 queen bedroom, 1 twin bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge room. It has an eat-in kitchen with all facilities including microwave. The separate lounge room has a slow combustion fire, TV, VCR, CD player, local access phone. There is off street parking, security alarm, separate bath and shower along with laundry facilities.
Blue Haze is next to 2 other Bygone Beautys Cottages so can accommodate larger groups in 1-3 cottages. Abundant birdlife visits Blue Haze along with wallabies and possums, you can really feel at one with nature here.
