Tin Dog Guest House, The, Federal

The Tin Dog offers unique Bed & Breakfast accommodation in a lush hinterland setting in the hills behind
Byron Bay, which is a short 20 minute drive away.

Set on five acres of beautiful tropical gardens, The Tin Dog is a private oasis nestled in one of the most
beautiful places on earth.

The main house was built circa 1900 and has been extensively refurbished. The garden rooms, nestled among the palms and separated from the main house. The Tin Dog’s landscaped gardens and extensive ground provide a luxuriously green outlook, and plenty of space for socialising or solitude.

Four large guestrooms, each with a private verandah and bathroom, ensure an intimate environment where
you can forget the world outside.

Bathrooms in the main house are somewhat of a feature at The Tin Dog. Depending on your choice, you can splash around in the sunken spa and double shower or lay back in the regal claw foot bath. In either of the garden rooms you’ll enjoy the privacy and convenience of your own ensuite.

You can stretch out in the spacious sitting room, curl up on the sofa in the reading room (both with the added
bonus of warm log fires in the cooler months), wander around the extensive grounds, enjoy the tranquillity
of the summer house and the soothing sounds of the creek or laze by the twelve metre pool.

The abundance and variety of fresh, local produce makes breakfast at The Tin Dog a special treat. You
could tantalise your taste buds with seasonal fresh fruit and lashings of yoghyrt, local muesli, pancakes,
roasted tomatoes with pancetta or free range eggs.
