Hill End Bed and Breakfast, Hill End

Hosie’s Bed & Breakfast/Doll & Craft Gallery is situated in the heart of Hill End, renowned as an historic gold mining town. The building is circa 1873 and was originally a haberdashery store that was built during the gold rushes by Hosie. Kangaroos and cows graze freely on the village common. You may care to stroll around the town, reading the plaques describing the bygone area – indulge in a time-warp of history. Untouched, majestic views surround you on your walk through this historic and quaint town.

The Dining room is the first Bank of N.S.W & the Craft, Gift & Collectable shop (also Old Fashion Lollies) was originally a Haberdashery Shop. The Hosie family had ten children, so the B&B has large rooms , with open fire places in Lounge & Bedrooms. The Family Room has two adjoining rooms leading onto a Balcony (Games available). The Four Poster bed leading onto the front veranda is the Sir Joseph Banks Room (Suzanne is related). The Miners Room is the other Queen room, overlooking the back garden.

Hill End has a wonderful history of famous artists such as Drysdale & donald Friend etc , & photographers so there is more than gold that attracts people to this peaceful town. The bird & wildlife is amazing, Four Wheel Driving ,Tennis .Golf, Bush Walks & Museums are a must see.
