Creek’s Bend Country Retreat, Kyogle

Creek’s Bend Country Retreat, a two square mile property on the Richmond Range, in subtropical northern
New South Wales, offers a uniquely Australian bush experience. Three well-appointed and self-contained
houses in tranquil country settings provide a great base for visitors to explore Creek’s Bend and the
Toonumbar Valley. “The Cottage” is near to the Iron Pot Creek and has one separate bedroom with a queen
size bed, as well as a sitting room with two single beds & full kitchen. The “Nunkeri House” has three
bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen and living/dining facilities, a garage, and a heated outdoor spa.

The “Upper Valley House” has three bedrooms, an open fireplace, full kitchen and dining/living rooms, solar
powered 12v lighting, LPG fridge and cooking, in a tranquil and private part of the valley.

Experience the nearby Toonumbar National Park with its World Heritage rainforests and diverse flora and
fauna. Or visit Toonumbar Dam, about 20 minutes drive away, to go boating, catch a fish, or play a round
of golf. Use of swimming pool, tennis court and adjoining barbecue area is complimentary.

Souvenir cards and prints feature exclusive artwork depicting local native birds and animals. Other
complimentary activities include, enjoying the outdoor spa, bush walking, bird and wallaby watching, or
viewing the night sky with a powerful astronomical telescope or binoculars.

Accommodation Options

The Cottage

The Cottage offers a queen size bed and two single beds. The living area is heated by a potbellied stove in winter or cooled by ceiling fans in summer. Under cover parking and barbecue facilities, a fully appointed kitchen, telephone and VCR CD player are provided.

Upper Valley House

the Upper Valley house is 2 km up the Iron Pot Creek form the Homestead. This ecologically friendly, fully furnished three-bedroom timber house is perfect for enjoying the peaceful Australian Bush. Two bedrooms offer queen size beds and the other bedroom has two single beds. The kitchen has a LPG fridge and cooker as well as a wood stove. There is an open fireplace in the lounge room. 12V solar powered lights and radio/CD, a telephone, barbecue and undercover parking are provided.

Nunkeri House

Nunkeri House overlooks the Iron Pot Creek, with grand views of Mt. Brown and the Richmond Range to the south and Toonumber National Park to the north. This fully furnished three-bedroom house is arranged in two wings. One bathroom, and the other wing has a bedroom with a queen size bed with ensuite. A fully appointed kitchen is central. A heated outdoor spa is provided.
