Colleen and Old Sils Farmhouse, Cootamundra

Set in large, bird-filled gardens, this sprawling, spacious homestead is filled with antiques and personal comforts. There are many areas where you can get away from it all and your private suite leaves nothing to be desired. We even provide a laundry service.

The ambience is that of the family home it has always been. It is still often filled with out five children, their husbands and wives and our ten grand children. While you are our guests, you will make wonderful memories.

We are in the process of creating a heritage museum of our four-generation family farm machinery, collectables and our collection of antique motor bikes. Greg is affectionately known as ‘Old Sil’, because of his silver hair.

Centered between Young, Cootamundra, Temora and Harden, there is much to see and do. From taking part in farm activities, exploring wineries, antique shops, participating in historical tours and fine food. Work out on the Aero-Fit, play tennis, swim, go bushwalking and then relax and watch the sunset whilst sipping your complimentary drinks with hors d’ oeuvres, followed by a gourmet three-course dinner in our Louis XV dining room, or have a BBQ beside the pool, which is equally delicious. Follow up with homemade chocolates and
liqueur. You will enjoy a special hearty and hot breakfast at any time to suit you, inside or beside the pool.

Take advantage of our selection of guided tours, or take a gourmet packed lunch and explore at your leisure. You can drive to Canberra in an 1 , drive to Kosciusko National Park for the day for a picnic or visit many Cellar Doors.

Brochures, advice and maps will be supplied. Make a base, be pampered and take a real holiday.

Australia has miles and miles of shoreline but which beaches are really great? Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for in a beach. Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
