Lanis on The Beach, Old Bar

A quiet and family friendly park, one of the few tourist only parks on the
coast. Situated right on the beach, next to a public playground and swimming
pool, and within walking distance of the bowling club, restaurants, shops and tennis court.

Old Bar is an ideal location for a holiday. You can spend your days on the
beach (patrolled in the summer) surfing, swimming or fishing; bushwalking in
the nearby bush tracks; or you can use it as your base to explore the Manning
Valley. We are only 15 minutes from the major centre of Taree, and a short
drive to the picturesque hinterland. Being only ten minutes from the highway,
travellers can have a quiet overnight stay.

Caravan Clubs are a speciality.

Ideally suited to caravan and motorhome clubs as the park is of a wide-open
design with plenty of sites available for large groups to congregate together.
Clients are now offered a new well-equipped Camp Kitchen/TV room for
meetings, socialising and the all-important cuppas.

Great News for Pilots!

The park is uniquely situated adjacent to the historic Old Bar airstrip.
Pilots are offered an amazing experience. Pilots and their passengers are
able to fly from an inland centre and be relaxing on the beach an hour or so
later. There is the facility to tow small planes into the Caravan Park. They
can camp under the wing of their plane or stay in one of the delightful ensuite
cabins.

Australia has miles and miles of shoreline but which beaches are really great? Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for in a beach. Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
