Hunter Country Lodge, Rothbury North

Blissfully quiet, you will wake up to beautiful birdsong and grazing kangaroos. Your accommodation is set amongst 100 acres of lush, native bushland in Australia’s premier wine region, the Hunter Valley.

Situated in the centre of the lodge is our restaurant, Shakey Tables. The odd assortment of old tables and chairs strikes a quirky note that gives the restaurant it’s name.

The lodge is located close to all major vineyards and is an easy stroll to Balloon Aloft for a dawn hot air balloon flight. Other nearby attractions include skydiving, golf and horse and carriage wine tours.

The 16 log cabins have sprightly colour schemes that evoke rich greens and ambers of the grape harvest. All rooms have country style beds, split air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, TV and spacious ensuites.

Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
