Freshwater Bay Cottage, Penneshaw

Freshwater Bay Cottage, a three bedroom, open plan house with a modern kitchen, has superb views of the beach, Hog Bay and across to the mainland. Only minutes away from the swimming beach and town facilities.

Relax on the front verandah and watch the bird life, penguins and wallabies or the passing ships, fishing boats and the berthing and departure of the Sealink ferry.

Matthew Flinders named Freshwater Bay, now Hog Bay, because of the fresh water springs he discovered there.

An ideal holiday spot all year round.

Where Are Australia's Best Beaches?

Australia's Best Beaches

Australia has miles and miles of shoreline but which beaches are really great? Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for in a beach. Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
