Turicum Chalets and Winery, Denmark

Turicum Chalets are located on a peaceful rural property on the edge of a pristine Karri forest. Overlooking Mt. Hallowell and across a green valley with glimpses of the Southern Ocean.

It’s every wine-lover’s fantasy to discover an established vineyard that offers comfortable accommodation, too. Finding our “Monkey Rock” Winery and Vineyard that also boasts a wonderful position, magnificent views and that only 10 minutes from Denmark is almost too good to be true!

You will find not many that fit the description and none where the vineyard, the winery and the winemaker himself are more accessible then on our place. This accessibility makes a stay altogether more interesting and enjoyable for the enthusiast – being able to tread the soil where the grapes are grown, inspecting the winery where fruit is processed, and discussing the subtleties of the craft with the winemaker himself. Under the label of “Southern End” we will produce in 2005 the first olive oil from over 400 olive trees.

Each of the chalets offers complete privacy and seclusion created by the planting of bushes and trees. Red Robins, Blue Wrens, and Honeyeaters flit through the undergrowth. Black Cockatoos feast on nuts in nearby pine trees.

Each of the two bedroom chalets have an open-plan comfortable lounge and dining with romantic wood fire heaters and a fully equipped kitchen. The chalets are a cosy retreat for two and are also ideal for families. Our friendly Irish donkeys and goats are favourites with all children.

Australia has miles and miles of shoreline but which beaches are really great? Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for in a beach. Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes. Glasshouse Mountains

The Glasshouse Mountains in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast are actually the cores of 20 million year old volcanoes. The sides of the volcanoes have eroded away leaving only the hardened rock spiremountain cores we see today. Learn more about this awe-inspiring landscape.
