Barkers Grampian Hideaway, Halls Gap

Barkers Grampian Hideaway is a self contained holiday house suitable for 1 – 2 families or up to eleven persons. There are three bedrooms, two with queen sized beds, the third room has two bunk beds and a spare matress and a sofa bed in the loungeroom. All beds have electric blankets, doonas and pillows. As this house has been recently redecorated, all the rooms are fresh, clean and inviting. Linen and towels can be arranged if necessary. The kitchen comprises microwave, stove, refridgerator, table and chairs, and regular household kitchen equipment, appliances and utensils. The gas ‘wood fire look’ heater ensures a cosy, warm loungeroom that is comfortable for a large group. Fans are located in each room for the warm weather. There is a television, DVD player, CD, radio and video aswell as selection of books, magazines and childrens games, which combined, make this house comfortable and relaxing for all the family. The bathroom consists of a shower over the bath, vanity and heater for those cold mornings. Laundry consists of washing machine, sink and outdoor undercover clothes line. Separate toilet. Mountain views can be seen through all windows. The house has a wide sunny balcony perfect for meals or relaxing with a book. In the back yard, an open fire place provides a wonderful opportunity to sit outside in the evenings and listen to the sounds of the bush, see the Kangaroos hop past, listen to the plentiful bird life and toast marshmellows. There is a swing set for children. Children will enjoy exploring this natural, safe bush setting. The Grampians provide rich opportunity for walking, enjoying the plentiful wildlife and wildfowers and participating in outdoor adventures. The village shops, restaurants and Aboriginal cultural centre are an easy 1 -2 kilometre walk.
