Built at the end of the 19th century the hotel began its life as two separate buildings, housing the famous Melbourne wool stores and offices. Located on the world famous Collins St in the heart of Melbourne, it is only a short stroll from the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, Telstra Dome, theatres and well-known shopping areas. The European style of each bedroom makes for an elegant and intimate accommodation. The hotel has 244 rooms, all of which have individualised European-style interior furnishings creating elegant, intimate and comfortable zones. Room types consist of Standard, Deluxe, Executive and Suites – offering all guests something suitable for their needs. One Disabled room, interconnecting rooms and a Premier Family Spa suite is available on request. All rooms contain air conditioning, alarm clock, bathrobes, cable movies, computer data port, full length mirror, hairdryer, international direct dial phone, iron & ironing board, fully stocked mini bar, remote controlled colour television, in room safe with charger, tea and coffee making facilities, voicemail and Sony Play station. All rooms can accommodate a roller bed (excluding standard rooms) for an extra person at an additional charge payable to the hotel direct. Cots are available on request for no extra charge.
