This fully self contained historic Country Home (yours alone to enjoy for the length of your stay) is nestled beside the Tarra River in the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges, 14 kilometres from Yarram and nine kilometres from the Tarra/Bulga National Park. Old World charm maintained – four bedrooms: three with en-suites and balconies, lounge with open fireplace and piano, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry, verandah, patio and stone barbecue area overlooking the gently flowing river. The delightful two-acre heritage garden featuring stonework, rare and unusual plants, majestic trees, the fern river walk, undulating lawns surrounds the house. A wonderland of birds and wildlife. A female platypus has a nesting chamber in the garden and can be seen from October till March at dusk and dawn feeding in the river beside the garden. Eilean Donan is a tranquil and romantic setting with a strong historic connection to the local area, which is yours alone to enjoy for the length of your stay. An ideal place for a group of friends to get together. family reunion, a group of bushwalkers (tracks to walk include both ranges and coastal) or just a very romantic stay for two, wanting to completely relax and unwind in this beautiful part of Gippsland. Central to Tarra/Bulga National Park, historic Port Albert, Ninety Mile Beach, Yarram, fishing and sporting facilities (excellent golf course). Ideal for groups up to eight, for example: bush-walkers, self-contained/self catering. Other catering options available.
