Brumbys Run, Merrijig
Wake to the sound of magpies, kookaburras, currawongs and the blue wrens tapping on your window. Our rural property of 67 acres and lodge style homestead is nestled in the beautiful Delatite River Valley at the foot of the Victorian Alps, with views to Mt Buller, Mt Stirling and Timbertop. Guest rooms have been purposely built in our north wing, with four double bedrooms, guest lounge with log fire in winter and guest dining room, where we serve a full cooked country breakfast. A set 3 course dinner menu is available Friday and Saturday evening, or if you prefer we can recommend some local places to eat. We also stock some of the local wines and other drinks at modest prices. All our bedrooms have private entrance, own bathroom, some with spa and ensuite. All rooms are heated in winter and cooled in summer. Our library has a range of maps and local places of interest, as well as books on travel, golf, gardens, birds, fishing and general paperbacks and novels. I can help you tie a fly to tempt the local trout or point you in the right direction to either try your luck in one of the rivers close by or book a guide for the experts advice. Do nothing, just relax, read a book, have a drink, have a snooze, take a walk, enjoy the good food. Closed Monday and Tuesday (except public holidys) Not suitable for children.
