Holmwood Guesthouse, Cowes

Multi award winning boutique accommodation for all tastes in this 1934 guesthouse, set in rambling cottage garden in central Cowes on Phillip Island. Located just 200 metres from the main beach and 300 metres to the town centre, it makes an ideal base from which to explore the island. It offers: * 3 elegantly appointed bed and breakfast rooms with ensuites (4.5 star) * 2 stylish cottages with fenced courtyard gardens (4.5 star). * 2 fully self-contained two bedroom townhouses (4 star). * Broadband access in guest lounge and cottages. A scrumptious full cooked breakfast is served on the outdoor deck or in the guesthouse dining room, exclusively for our houseguests. The table d’hote dinner menu changes daily according to availability of produce and preferences of guests, and locally produced wines feature on the wine list. CLOSE TO ALL ATTRACTIONS Holmwood is just a 10 minute drive to the world famous Penguin Parade, nightly at sunset, but other lesser known attractions are also within easy reach, be it on foot, by bicycle, by boat or by car: * Take the ferry to Seal Rock to see more than 8000 fur seals. * Wander through the treetops at the Koala Conservation Centre to come eye to eye with koalas. * Go 200 years back in time at beautiful Churchill Island. * Go to French Island to see more wildlife and go for a Llama Picnic Tour. * Walk on the boardwalk through the mangroves to Rhyll, where you’ll find the locals hanging out in their favourite fish and chippery, The Foreshore Cafe. * Visit the Phillip Island Motor Racing Circuit, home of the 500cc Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. * Go for a scenic flight around the island, and see it in all its beauty.
