Cape Howe Cottages, Albany

Cape Howe Cottages – midway between Albany and Denmark, provide a very different holiday experience for those who want to spend time close to nature with the added delight of doing so from luxurious, four star rated, self contained cottages. Cape Howe Cottages embrace a simple philosophy – space, privacy and tranquillity.

Set amid a 53 acre registered Land for Wildlife property means that you can share this private nature retreat during your stay. There are a huge variety of natural habitats which encourage a large range of native plants, animals, fungi and birds. Being adjacent to West Cape Howe National Park and alongside coastal reserves provides a natural extension for wildlife to come visiting.

The cottages are spread well apart from each other and are indeed luxurious – spacious, beautifully decorated with quality furnishings and incredible attention to detail. Two cottages have two bedrooms each, whilst Kings Den is a one bedroom luxury retreat with a spa just for couples. Besides a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, television, video, compact disc player, barbecue, wood heater, washing machine, crisp linen and snugly quilts in every cottage, there are even some extra touches that will make your holiday memorable – picnic sets, games, cards, books, magazines and, essential for spotting the Sacred Kingfisher or Firetail Finch, a pair of binoculars.

Lowlands Beach is just a short stroll from the cottages where you can try your hand at fishing or just laze about dolphin spotting and exploring rock pools. Whether a luxury retreat for two, a secret escape to share with friends or a family hideaway where even the family dog is welcome – total privacy is guaranteed.

For those serious walkers a drop service to various locations along the Bibbulmun Track and packed lunches are provided on request. Breakfast baskets and dinner packs are also available for those who don’t want to stray too far from home. With so much to explore right on the doorstep, this is definitely a place to throw away the car keys and experience the pure beauty of the south coast in a very private retreat
