The Transcontinental Hotel circa 1878 and heritage listed is a two storey stone building, with wide balconies. It is located on the corner of Railway Terrace and Sixth Street, the junction of Quorn to Wilmington Road and Quorn to Hawker or Quorn to Port Augusta roads. The hotel is adjacent to the world famous Pichi Richi Railway tourist train station. There are many beautiful sites near Quorn like some sections of the Heysen Trail, Dutchman Stern National Park, Warren Gorge and Buckaringa Sanctuary.
