Aldgate Lodge Bed And Breakfast, Adelaide

Nestled in a picturesque garden, Aldgate Lodge offers charming, romantic four and a half star accommodation in the historic village of Aldgate, in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Centrally located Aldgate Lodge is just 20 minutes from the Adelaide central business district and 50 minutes from both the Barossa Valley and Southern Vales wine growing areas.

In the immediate vicinity, Adelaide Hills wineries and restaurants, some of South Australia’s finest, are waiting to be sampled, as are the delightful botanic gardens and wildlife sanctuaries. Framed by tree ferns, the home is of log construction and set well back in a garden boasting camellias, hydrangeas, rhododendrons and roses.

From the off street parking area a bridge over a winter creek directs guests to the front verandah, off which entry is gained to private guest suites and a cosy sitting room with slow combustion fire. Aldgate Lodge comprises two spa suites, each with own bedroom, breakfast/sitting room and spa bathroom, plus one double room (ensuite). Each room is accessed via French doors and features timber raked ceilings, exposed beams, leadlights, individual heating/cooling and modern cottage decor. For guest comfort, toiletries, hairdryer, television, refrigerator, CD player, video and tea and coffee making facilities are provided and rooms are serviced daily. In the morning a delicious breakfast is served to the room, the verandah or the garden.
