Overseer’s Cottage, Hawker

A small historic School of the Air room which has been renovated into a cottage with a modern interior. The cottage is fully self contained and is located on a pastoral property in the scenic Flinders Ranges, approximately 20 kilometres North of Wilpena Pound and adjacent to the Flinders Ranges National Park. A four wheel drive track, Skytrek, is located on the property and can be used when weather conditions permit. Willow Springs relies on 24 hour diesel/solar power to generate electricity and this does not support the use of heaters.

Where Are Australia's Best Beaches?

Australia's Best Beaches

Australia has miles and miles of shoreline but which beaches are really great? Ultimately it depends on what you're looking for in a beach. Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
