Riesling Trail Cottages, Clare

Set in secluded bushland in the heart of Clare and with private access to the popular Riesling Trail, these romantic self contained cottages provide ideal accommodation for both walkers and bike riders. With at least five well known wineries, and as many restaurants within three kilometres, the scene is set for an enjoyable stay in one of Australia’s premium wine growing districts. The cottages are separated by beautiful gardens and a barbecue area. There is accommodation for six in Donnybrook Cottage and four in Hutt River cottage. They both feature queen size beds, wood fires, air conditioning and twin spas. Provisions are left for cooked breakfasts and there is a bottle of wine on arrival. Discount cards to wineries, restaurants and other attractions make the days outing extra worthwhile. 2003 Yellow Pages South Australian Tourism Awards winner.

Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
