Lemontree Cottage, Auburn

One of Auburn‘s loveliest stone cottages has been turned into a romantic retreat for one or two couples. Situated just a short walk from the historic town, it is isolated from neighbours offering spacious English country gardens edged by woodland and the River Wakefield. A large conservatory style living area gives beautiful views from each window of various parts of the garden. Lemontree offers spacious accommodation furnished almost entirely with quality antiques and linens. Bedrooms have Victorian cast iron canopy beds; one with French doors leading into the cottage gardens. Guests can enjoy alfresco dining under the pergola or deeper into the gardens beneath the glade and the chance to pick your own oranges, lemons and walnuts in season.

Pristine wilderness without a single footprint in sight, the sparkle of cosmopolitan high rise on the waters edge, the adrenalin pumping roar of a powerful surf beach, or quite simply the perfect white squeaky sand that squelches between your toes.
