Allessandro Maandini’s Ryokan, Adelaide

Allessandro Maandini’s Japanese style Ryokan is the only five star rated Japanese style Ryokan in the southern hemisphere. This genuine modernistic Japanese building was designed in Tokyo and built in 1980 by local architect Peter Villis. The Ryokan features very unique interior design throughout with antique Japanese furniture and the large expanses of glass invite the garden into the house. Accommodation is available in three double suites on three floors, each suite has its own en suite. Single guests are always welcome. The Ryokan building has been featured in the magazine House and Garden and also the television programs Getaway and Healthy, Wealthy and Wise. The Ryokan is the only venue in the world outside Japan that has a fully indentured Maiko Geisha as hostess. She will host dinners for couples or groups.
