Acacia Cottages - Stanthorpe

$250 per cottage (up to 6 people) per weekend for a simple 2 bedroom cottage near Stanthorpe, 40 plus Granite Belt Wineries and five national parks. Choose one of four self contained holiday cottages, close to Stanthorpe (only 12 minutes on paved roads), the Granite Belt and Granite Highlands, in the wine and national park holiday destination of South East Queensland, Australia. Acacia Cottages are less than three hours from Brisbane and the Gold Coast when travelling by road, via the New England Highway, through Warwick and Stanthorpe. For an alternative scenic route home, it takes about three and a half hours from Acacia Cottages, via Legume, Woodenbong and Beaudesert using the Mt Lindsay Highway. The cottages are less than ten hours from Sydney via the New England Highway, through Tenterfield and Stanthorpe. Each cottage has two private bedrooms with beds for five to six people in each cottage. There is a compact kitchen equipped with a small electric stove, fridge, utensils, cutlery, pans and crockery. There is a private shower and toilet and a separate lounge/dining area with combustion log fire. A small verandah is attached to each cottage. The four cottages are located on a two acre block in the small mountain village of Liston, just 12 minutes East of Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia. They are close enough to allow friends to share, and far enough apart to give privacy. There is an outside barbecue. The block is externally fenced and there is a small dam in the middle of the cottages. As the cottages are situated in a small rural village, we sometimes use 'organic' lawnmowers, more commonly known as horses. The cottages are not fancy, but lots of visitors have found them good value.
